So can you tell how to do the authentication part ?.
Was there a robot for the app which did the work. or you can directly access the wave server from the desktop app without the use of a robot ?.
Means, is it possible to create new waves, etc directly, or a robot is required ?

Well the waver app is literally just a web browser. It’s a single column interface that renders Google Wave using
WebKit.
I don't think there is another way to do this as Google will want to keep the wave since it belongs to them. It will not want third party clients taking traffic from them even though they give you the source code to create your own Google Wave server, the official Google Wave belongs to them.
I am not aware of an API they have supplied allowing you to take wave data elsewhere like Twitter has allowed with its tweets.
Btw, the last two paragraphs is just my line of thinking. I could be wrong.
