Default Ad Stuff

I'm not a developer so I'd figure I'd ask this question.

If you made a gadget let's say for a scientific calculator, could you put a link to your site? So if you made the gadget but you offer tutoring services, could you put a link at the top that says "Need a math tutor? Get one to talk with you right here on the Wave!" or something like that? Then when they click the link, they pay a variable fee (depending on the amount of time they need the tutor) and then the tutor adds them to the wave.

That way, you are providing a service (the calculator) and advertising your business without killing the users experience of your app.

Yes you could advertise whatever you like in that wave extension because you own it. Adsense and other ad solutions we have said would be a no go.

I am hoping to buy some ad spots on Google Wave.

Yes, you can put a link back to your site. I have seen quite a few robots that say "Powered by X" and "X" being a link to a site.

If you wish to a build a service like this, then I guess the users will have to sign up with you on your site and your gadget has to offer some sort of login so that you know that a user has a particular tutoring session at a time specified and they have paid already etc.

To get this sort of service traction, you need to be more concerned with getting users to your site and using that wave gadget as a product and not as an advertisement tool itself. In the scenario I have described above, the users will be using the gadget because they are already aware of your site and are using the gadget. So the gadget doesn't need to serve as an advertisement tool...if that was your intention?

I just scanned what I've said, hope you get it!
