if i have a third party application,
is it possible to have a google wave robot deployed which takes the username and password from the third party application, and then act on behalf of it for the further tasks, it is similar to having a desktop application for writing reading waves .. Is it possible?. if so , how? |

Do you mean have the wave robot do something once the user has authenticated themselves using the robot via your third party application? Quote:
I am not sure if this one is the same as the above, but you can download it and try it. |

yes.. i am building something similar.
So can you tell how to do the authentication part ?. Was there a robot for the app which did the work. or you can directly access the wave server from the desktop app without the use of a robot ?. Means, is it possible to create new waves, etc directly, or a robot is required ? |

I don't think there is another way to do this as Google will want to keep the wave since it belongs to them. It will not want third party clients taking traffic from them even though they give you the source code to create your own Google Wave server, the official Google Wave belongs to them. I am not aware of an API they have supplied allowing you to take wave data elsewhere like Twitter has allowed with its tweets. Btw, the last two paragraphs is just my line of thinking. I could be wrong. |

ok . thanks for the info,
Also, i wonder if it is possible to access the waves and do all the operations on a wave server deployed locally, i.e if i install the wave server locally and then have the third party application access/modify/etc the waves to/from that server. Will this be possible .? It would be great if you provide me with this info , Thanks again. |
